Postdoctoral Fellows

We welcome applications from individuals who have expertise in microfluidics, biophysics, atomic force microscopy, confocal microscopy, mathematical modeling, material science, and evolutionary biology for bioengineering research.

Graduate Students

Students interested in completing their Ph.D. or MS in the lab should apply to the University of Pennsylvania Graduate Programs in Bioengineering. 

Lab Technician

We look for an individual who is capable of managing a wet microbiology/engineering laboratory including the preparation of reagents, ordering lab supplies, performing in vivo experiments, etc. If interested, please send a curriculum vitae to 'geelsuh@upenn.edu'. 

DMD Students

DMD students interested in research projects in the lab should contact Dr. Hwang by email (geelsuh@upenn.edu) with a brief description of their research interests and a current CV. D1 students may apply for the summer research program. 

Undergraduate Students

Undergraduate students looking to pursue research experience in bioengineering should contact Dr. Hwang by email (geelsuh@upenn.edu) with a brief description of their research interests and a current CV. Undergraduate students may also consider applying for the PURM program.

High school Students

The Hwang lab opens a summer internship program every summer (mid-June to mid-Aug). Students interested in the internship program should contact Dr. Hwang by email (geelsuh@upenn.edu) with a brief description of their research interests. The application should be submitted by the end of March to be considered.
